Our Stellar Staff

Bright Star Academy Schools administrators, teachers and assistants are meticulously selected for their early childhood education, child care experience, personality and dedication to conservation. Both personal and professional reference and backgrounds are carefully screened to ensure your child's safety. Through a balance of physical, emotional, social, mental and cognitive growth, our staff places emphasis on the nurturing and development of the whole child. We believe our staff is our greatest asset and we hope that you will too! Our teacher-to-child ratios are lower than the state of Texas requires, allowing more one-on-one time in dynamic, small group settings. A child who attends Bright Star Academy Schools will be well prepared for a "Bright Future"!

Meet Our Leading Team

Sydney Stump - Principal

imageHello! My name is Sydney Stump and I am the Principal at Bright Star Academy Schools! I graduated from “THE” Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Max M. Fisher College of Business and I am currently working on my Child Development Associates. Children are my passion and for as long as I can remember, I have always dreamt of having the opportunity to educate and broaden the horizons of every child. My interest for early childhood education began at a very young age as I grew up in and watched my mother establish her childcare facilities. I observed my mother develop into a motivational leader, opening fifteen facilities in the Columbus area. Over the years she has consistently inspired me to follow my heart and I truly believe it belongs in early childhood education. In recent years I have had the privilege of working as a nanny, camp counselor, volunteer for children with special needs, and a childcare teacher. With my experience in working with a variety of age groups, I have realized just how amazing it is to be a part of the educational growth of a child no matter the age. I am beyond excited to be a part of the bright future that Bright Star Academy has and I know this stellar staff will exceed your expectations of the most exceptional childcare facility. Parents like my mother thrive for the perfect learning experience for their young ones and I plan to do whatever I can to make sure that Bright Star continually seeks improvements that will only positively influence the school, the staff, and most importantly, the children. I realize that choosing a program for your little one can be incredibly difficult; however, I hope you will come and tour our extraordinary, eco-friendly school and experience just why Bright Star is the ideal childcare facility in Texas. I look forward to seeing you soon and working to make you and your family the most satisfied with your decision at Bright Star Academy!

Stacy Hale - Administrative Assistant

imageHello, Bright StarFamilies! As a member of the Bright Star staff since 2010, I have had the privilege of watching this program grow and evolve into an amazing school. In 2006 I graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. Degree in Public Relations and Communications and a minor in Business. After teaching Preschool and Pre-K for over five years, I was eager to continue growing as an educator and in 2015 I took on the role of Staff Coordinator, and I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to be hands-on in every classroom. In addition, as the Preschool Team Leader, I am able to continue to use my expertise and experience in helping support the preschool teachers. I am excited to be a part of their team and continue my role as mentor to this amazing group of educators! I am grateful for the fun learning opportunities my daughter has had while enrolled in the program and I look forward to making your child's Bright Star experience fun and educational as well! Thank you for your continued support and trust in Bright Star!

Emily Noyes - Curriculum Coordinator

imageMy name is Emily Noyes and I joined the Pre-K team here at Bright Star in 2014. I have been teaching Pre-K since 2011 and absolutely love teaching this age group. In 2015, I took over as the curriculum manager at Bright Star. I went through and re-wrote the curriculum to make sure that we are following Texas guidelines and to make sure that when the children leave the program, they are ready for Kindergarten. I have always loved writing lesson plans because it really allows me to use my creative mind, so taking over curriculum was a natural step. Another reason I took on the curriculum responsibilities is because it helps me stay aware of what my son is learning. I also excited to have the responsibility of being the Pre-K team leader because it keeps me actively involved at school.
